Comprehensive management of the Upper Quadrant Condition

The focus is on selection and application of assessment and treatment techniques, with specific attention to the multiple factors that influence patient response and clinical reasoning process that integrates patient, injury, technique and context. The mentee will demonstrate ability to:

  • Set appropriate goals and objectives
  • Apply appropriate intervention for a variety of upper extremity conditions while understanding the adaptive responses to injury
  • Understanding the effects of condition/ disease and treatment on the patient’s life roles and ADLs
  • Reassessment, consultation, documentation and discharge planning
  • Work conditioning, hardening and functional capacity evaluations and return to work considerations
